- How to create a custom Excel date format for another locale. If you want to display dates in another language, you have to create a custom format and prefix a date with a corresponding locale code. The locale code should be enclosed in square brackets and preceded with the dollar sign ($) and a dash (-). Here are a few examples.
- There are a few different stylesheets included in the library. This is an overview of what each file is to be used for: bootstrap-datepicker.css gives legacy support for twitter bootstrap v2, bootstrap-datepicker3.css is used for twitter bootstrap v3 support and bootstrap-datepicker.standalone.css can be used to include the datepicker without depending on the twitter bootstrap.
- Reverse Julian date. If you need to convert a Julian date back to a regular date, you can use a formula that parses Julian date and runs it through the date function with a month of 1 and day equal to the 'nth' day. For example, this would create a date from a yyyyddd Julian date like 1999143.
- If you change your date setting in Control Panel, the default date format in Excel will change accordingly. If you don’t like the default date format, you can choose another date format in Excel, such as 'February 2, 2012' or '2/2/12'. You can also create your own custom format in Excel desktop.
Month abbreviations consist of the first three characters of the month’s name. Months with four-character names, such as June, are not abbreviated.

- To post as a guest, your comment is unpublished. There is another way, it returns exactly the numeric format that represents the date abbreviated by (/), it would be: '=Substitute(A1;'/';')

I want to check to confirm the entered date is not older than the auto populated date. something like =IF(((DATEVALUE(A2)>(DATEVALUE(G3)),1,0) DATE VALUE seems to be not considered a number so it fails with a value error.
